Swan Rushes explores Loughborough's identity through field recordings, eerie electronics and an abstract text made-up from the names of locations and streets across the town centre. Suggestive of the past and present functions of locations and historical figures and evocative of and meanings lost to time, it embraces the cultural and the historical, appraising the geographies people inhabit, visit, defend, destroy - and overlook.

Commissioned by Radar for 'You Are the Music While the Music Lasts', 2007.
